Ventilated energy-saving stone (tile) clad facade set | VFS – 2 [Ventilated Facade Systems Modification 2]

Purpose of SCANROC VFS-2 installation system:

SCANROC VFS-2 curtain-type ventilated facade is installed on all types of walls, except those made of low-density cellular concrete (D<600).

SCANROC VFS-2 system is mounted on the entire wall surface.

SCANROC VFS-2 system is patented.


Like all other SCANROC systems, SCANROC VFS-2 is highly reliable and durable.


All SCANROC ventilated curtain facade systems are certified in Ukraine, Western Europe, and other countries.


SCANROC ventilated facades are exported to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Scandinavian countries, Baltic countries, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Denmark, Holland, and even Australia.

All SCANROC VFS systems consist of three groups:

  • structural metal items;
  • insulation;
  • front [SCANROC facade tiles].

Composition of SCANROC VFS-2 metal items

All metal items of the system are made of high-quality hot-dip galvanized European steel.

All screws and anchor bolts are hot-dip galvanized.

SCANROC facade tiles are mounted directly on SCANROC S-1 rack.

The diagram shows arrangement of SCANROC S-1 racks at 600 mm spacing for LONG Format [600×100 mm] and LARGE Format [600×200 mm] tiles. COTTAGE Format tiles [300×100 mm] require for a doubled number of SCANROC S-1 racks and 300 mm spacing.

SCANROC VFS-2 system installation steps

Step 1. Markup and drilling of holes

Perform marking according to the project. Drill holes for anchor bolts.

Step 2. Installation of dowels

Insert dowels into the prepared holes

Step 3. Installation of SCANROC K-1.X angle brackets

Place T-1 thermal insulating gaskets under each angle bracket, then screw the angle bracket to the wall with anchor screws.

Step 4. Installation of SCANROC R-1.1 ledgers

SCANROC R-1.1 ledgers are the basis for SCANROC S-1 or S-1.75 upright racks which support SCANROC tiles.

Attach SCANROC R-1.1 ledgers to SCANROC K-1.X angle brackets using hot-dip galvanized self-tapping screws 6.3×19 (1-2 pcs per attachment point).

Ledgers along the wall are joined with overlapping.

Always check that the anchors are tightened after mounting angle brackets

Step 5. Installation of thermal insulation

Before installing thermal insulation mats, make through cuts for projecting elements of angle brackets using a knife. Drill holes in the wall after placing the mats (through the mats).

Thermal insulation mats are attached as required by the building codes.

Step 6. Thermal insulation fastening

Install the umbrella anchors in the holes and secure them with nails provided with the umbrella anchors.

Stage 7. Installation of SCANROC S-1 (S-1.75) racks

SCANROC S-1 (S-1.75) racks act as SCANROC tile holders. SCANROC S-1 rack is attached directly to SCANROC R-1.1 ledger using hot-dip galvanized screws 4.8×13 (1 pc per attachment point).

Depending on the tile length, SCANROC S-1 racks are placed along the wall at 600 mm (for LONG 600×100 and LARGE 600×200 tile formats) or 300 mm (for COTTAGE 300×100 tile formats) spacing. SCANROC S-1.75 racks are to be placed depending on other SCANROC clinker tile formats.

Step 8. Mounting SCANROC facade tiles

After the entire system has been installed, mount SCANROC tiles on protruding tongues of SCANROC S-1 racks.

Tiles are mounted by pushing and placing the tile groove on the tongues of SCANROC S-1 racks.

Each tile shall have 3 support points – left, right and middle. At least each 5th row shall be secured with additional vandal-proof tongues provided on SCANROC S-1 racks unless otherwise specified in the design.
