Ventilated energy-saving stone (tile) clad facade set | VFS – 10 [Ventilated Facade Systems Modification 10]

Purpose of SCANROC VFS-10 installation system:

SCANROC VFS-10 curtain-type ventilated facade is installed on walls made of low-density cellular concrete (D < 600).

SCANROC VFS-10 system is attached directly to the inter-floor slabs.

SCANROC VFS-10 system is patented.


Like all other SCANROC systems, SCANROC VFS-10 is highly reliable and durable.


All SCANROC ventilated curtain facade systems are certified in Ukraine, Western Europe, and other countries.


SCANROC ventilated facades are exported to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Scandinavian countries, Baltic countries, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Denmark, Holland, and even Australia.

All SCANROC VFS systems consist of three groups:

  • structural metal items;
  • insulation;
  • front [SCANROC facade tiles].

Composition of SCANROC VFS-10 metal items

All metal items of the system are made of high-quality hot-dip galvanized European steel.

All screws and anchor bolts are hot-dip galvanized.

SCANROC facade tiles are mounted directly to SCANROC S-1 racks.

The diagram shows arrangement of SCANROC S-1 racks at 600 mm spacing for LONG Format [600×100 mm] and LARGE Format [600×200 mm] tiles. COTTAGE Format tiles [300×100 mm] require for a doubled number of SCANROC S-1 racks and 300 mm spacing.

SCANROC VFS-10 system installation steps

Step 1. Markup and drilling of holes

Perform marking according to the project. Drill holes for anchor bolts.

Step 2. Installation of SCANROC K-180 angle brackets

Place 1 pair of T-3 thermal insulating gaskets under each angle bracket, then use 10×100 anchor bolts to screw angle brackets to reinforced concrete inter-floor slabs.

Point where SCANROC K-180 angle bracket is attached to the reinforced concrete inter-floor slab. The brackets are secured with two anchor bolts per attachment point.

Always check that the nuts are tightened after mounting angle brackets.

Step 3. Installation of SCANROC P-1 sliders

SCANROC P-1 slider joins SCANROC S-100 rack and SCANROC K-180 angle bracket together. The slider is used to adjust outreach of S-100 rack. R-1 slider is attached to K-180 angle bracket using hot-dip galvanized screws 6.3×19 (6 pcs per attachment point).

Step 4. Installation of thermal insulation

Before installing thermal insulation mats, make through cuts for projecting elements of angle brackets using a knife. Once mats have been placed, drill holes in the wall (through the mats) and install umbrella dowels to secure the mats. Thermal insulation mats are attached as required by the building codes.

Step 5. Installation of SCANROC S-100 rack

SCANROC S-100 rack transfers the load from SCANROC decorative and protective items to the wall and is attached directly to SCANROC P-1 slider using hot-dip galvanized screws 6.3×19 (8 pcs per attachment point).

Important! The insulation must not touch SCANROC S-100 rack. Maintain the required clearance according to the design.

SCANROC S-100 vertical column is factory-cut to the projected length (floor-to-floor distance). This substantially speeds up the installation process and guarantees proper quality of the structural system.

SCANROC S-100 racks are joined end-to-end upright at connection points with the R-1 slider.

Step 6. Installation of SCANROC R-6 ledgers

The function of SCANROC R-6 ledgers is to create a base for SCANROC S-1 upright racks used for immediate attachment of SCANROC facade tiles.

SCANROC R-6 ledgers are connected to SCANROC S-100 racks using hot-dip galvanized screws 6.3×19 (2 pcs per attachment point).

Stage 7. Installation of SCANROC S-1 racks

SCANROC S-1 racks act as SCANROC tile holders. SCANROC S-1 rack is attached directly to SCANROC R-6 ledger using hot-dip galvanized screws 4.8×13 (1 pc per attachment point).

Depending on the facade tile length, SCANROC S-1 racks are placed along the wall at 600 mm (for LONG 600×100 and LARGE 600×200 tile formats) or 300 mm (for COTTAGE 300×100 tile formats) spacing. SCANROC C-1.75 racks are to be placed depending on other SCANROC clinker tile formats.

Step 8. Mounting SCANROC facade tiles

After the entire system has been installed, mount SCANROC tiles on protruding tongues of SCANROC S-1 racks.

Tiles are mounted by pushing and placing the tile groove on the tongues of SCANROC S-1 racks.

Each tile shall have 3 support points – left, right and middle. At least each 5th row shall be secured with additional vandal-proof tongues provided on SCANROC S-1 racks unless otherwise specified in the design.
